Our Story

The yard sale.
The book.
The reason.

Say It Last began with two very different experiences: one filled with confusion, and one filled with clarity.

01

First came the yard sale.

My father used to say:

“One day, poof! I’ll be gone.”

I did not understand it then. I did not want to.

But when he became sick with cancer, everything changed. My parents were leaving the home they had built for retirement, and their belongings had to be sold.

I stood in the driveway and watched pieces of their life disappear at a yard sale.

We were grieving. We were overwhelmed. We just wanted it finished.

We were not prepared.

02

Then came the book.

Years later, my mother did something completely different.

She made a book.

It included the accounts, contacts, instructions, and information we would need.

When she passed, we were not left guessing.

There was clarity instead of chaos.

That book was one of the greatest gifts she could have left us.

03

Say It Last came from both stories.

The yard sale showed me what happens when no one knows.

The book showed me what happens when someone prepares.

Say It Last was built to help make that preparation easier.

04

Leave answers, not questions.

Say It Last gives you one organized place to record what matters:

  • Your wishes
  • Your important contacts
  • Your accounts and subscriptions
  • Your pets and personal belongings
  • The instructions someone may need later

You choose a trusted person. You decide what they should know. You control when the information is released.

Say It Last is not a legal will. It is a thoughtful way to organize your information and make your voice heard.

05

I do not want my family to guess.

I do not want them rushed.

I do not want grief made harder by unanswered questions, scattered information, or piles of possessions.

I want them to know what mattered to me—and what I wanted to happen next.

That is why I built Say It Last.
