Activation
The moment you flip your toggle ON and your defined Release Conditions are met. Only then does Say It Last begin delivering the specific entries you approved to your Trusted Contact.
Advanced Care Planning
Preparing instructions and preferences for future medical care (e.g., healthcare proxies, living wills, treatment choices). Say It Last lets you summarize preferences privately and point to where official documents are stored.
Say It Last is not a legal document. Always follow local laws and consult professionals.
Asset Management
The ongoing organization of your financial and digital property (accounts, subscriptions, domains, licenses). Use Say It Last to list locations and contacts so nothing gets lost if someone needs to step in.
Asset Protection
Strategies to safeguard assets from loss or misuse. While legal structures happen outside the app, Say It Last helps reduce chaos by keeping instructions, account locations, and decision-maker info organized and private.
Backup Contact
An optional secondary person who may be notified if your primary Trusted Contact can’t respond. You decide whether they get notice only, or limited access to the items you specify.
Check-In Window
A timeframe you set (e.g., “by Monday at 5 PM”). If you don’t check in and a Travel or Temporary Toggle is active, your Trusted Contact can be notified according to your settings.
Great for solo travel, surgery, or remote adventures.
Chosen Family LGBTQ+
The people you consider family, regardless of legal or biological ties. Say It Last lets you prioritize chosen family in your access plan so the right person receives the right information at the right time.
Institutions may still require legal documents. Say It Last complements — not replaces — legal planning.
Crypto Inheritance
Planning access to wallets, seed phrases, and exchange accounts. Say It Last can store locations and instructions privately; share only what you deem safe and lawful. Always follow local regulations and platform requirements.
Digital Assets
Your online accounts and materials: email, photos, social profiles, cloud storage, subscriptions, creator accounts, domains, and similar. In Say It Last, you can list where things are and who should be notified or receive instructions.
Digital Asset Estate Planning

A tool designed for everyday login convenience (store, autofill, and generate passwords). It’s different from Say It Last, which is built for when you’re not there — to release instructions and account locations only upon activation.
Use both: a password manager for daily life; Say It Last for legacy and emergencies.
Digital Wallet
An app or device that stores payment cards, IDs, passes, or crypto keys. In Say It Last, you can note which wallet you use and what someone should know if they must act on your behalf (never store sensitive keys unless you’re comfortable with your plan).
End-of-Life Planning
Preparing for medical, legal, and personal matters near the end of life. Say It Last organizes the human side — messages, instructions, and account locations — and delivers them privately when your toggle is ON and conditions are met.
Estate Planning
Creating legal documents and beneficiaries to manage assets and responsibilities. Say It Last complements this by guiding trusted people to the right information at the right time.

Executor vs. Trusted Contact
An executor is named in a legal will to handle legal/financial estate tasks. A Trusted Contact is designated in Say It Last to receive the entries you decide to share when your toggle activates. They can be the same person — but don’t have to be.
Say It Last is a secure companion, not a legal instrument.
Information Asset
Any piece of information with value to you or your loved ones (e.g., account numbers, policy details, domain logins, important contacts). Say It Last keeps these organized and private until release.
Instructions
Plain-language guidance for your people: “cancel this subscription,” “keys are with the neighbor,” “here’s how to access photos,” or “feed the dog twice a day, one scoop from the container.” Delivered only when your toggle is ON and conditions are met.
Just-in-Case List
A short, practical list of essentials (contacts, accounts, instructions) for emergencies like travel, surgery, or solo living — so someone you trust can step in with clarity, not panic.
Last Will and Testament
A legal document stating how your assets should be distributed and who should care for dependents. Say It Last can note where the original is stored, who drafted it, and who should be notified — without replacing the will itself.

Life Capsule
A curated set of personal items or digital memories (photos, letters, messages, traditions) you want preserved. In Say It Last, you can describe what to save and who should receive it — privately, on your terms.
Life Insurance
A policy that pays a beneficiary upon the insured’s death. Use Say It Last to record policy numbers, carrier contact info, and premium details — so your Trusted Contact knows where to start.
Life Insurance Beneficiary
The person or entity designated to receive life insurance proceeds. Keep official designations with your insurer; use Say It Last to note who’s listed and where to find the policy.
Magic Link (Encrypted Delivery)
A secure, time-bound link we can send to your Trusted Contact after activation. Delivery uses modern security protocols; your stored entries remain protected with strong encryption and secure storage until release conditions are satisfied.
Delivery method may vary by plan or settings.
Messages
Optional notes or letters you write for loved ones, collaborators, or professionals. Messages stay private until your toggle activates, then are delivered per your settings.
Notifications
Alerts sent to your Trusted Contact (and optionally a Backup Contact) when your toggle activates or when a configured check-in window passes. Notifications never include private content unless release conditions are met.
Password Inheritance
Planning how trusted people can access accounts if you can’t. Rather than sharing passwords now, Say It Last allows you to document locations and instructions privately for release only when needed.
Combine with official recovery options from each service whenever possible.
Password Manager (vs. Say It Last)
Password managers are built for everyday login convenience. Say It Last is built for when you’re not there — releasing instructions and account locations only when your toggle rules are satisfied.
Many people benefit from using both tools.
Pet Toggle
A focused setup for pet parents. Store sitter/walker contacts, feeding instructions, and vet info. If you go silent and your toggle is active, the right person is quietly notified so your pet is fed, loved, and safe.
Privacy by Design
Our principle: collect the minimum necessary, keep it private by default, and release only what you choose, when you choose. Entries are protected with strong encryption and secure storage; we don’t sell your data.
Release Conditions
The rules you set that must be satisfied before anything is delivered — for example, toggle status, check-in window, or specific scenarios (travel, surgery). Only then does your Trusted Contact receive access to the items you approved.
Revocation
Your ability to cancel or revoke access after activation if you still control your account (e.g., accidental toggle or change of mind). Where possible, previously delivered links are invalidated.
If a recipient downloaded copies, revocation may not remove those files from their device.
Secure Storage
How your entries are stored at rest: safeguarded in private databases with layered security controls and strict access policies. Your information stays protected and separate from public exposure.
Strong Encryption
Modern encryption methods used to protect your entries in storage and during delivery. Across our site we describe this as “protected with strong encryption and secure storage.” We avoid promising end-to-end encryption until finalization is complete.
Temporary Toggle
A short-term toggle for surgery, recovery, or any period when communication may be limited. If you don’t check in as planned, your Trusted Contact is notified and receives the items you pre-approved.
Toggle
The patent-pending control at the heart of Say It Last. When OFF, nothing is shared. When ON, your chosen items are delivered per your Release Conditions, to the person you selected.
Toggle Status
Your current setting: ON or OFF. You can also set context-specific toggles (e.g., Travel, Temporary) with their own time windows and rules.
Travel Toggle
Designed for trips and off-grid time. Set a return date or check-in window and choose what should be shared only if you go quiet. Ideal for hikers, digital nomads, and extended travel.
Trusted Contact
The person you designate to receive your information. You control what they see and when. Choose someone reliable who understands your wishes and can follow through calmly.
You can add a Backup Contact as a safety net.
Vault
Your private space in Say It Last where entries (notes, contacts, instructions, messages) are stored and organized. The vault remains sealed until your toggle and release conditions allow delivery.
